Investigator-Initiated Research Application
Overview
We highly appreciate your interest in collaborating with mylife Diabetes Care to support medical research.
Following our commitment to “engineering miracles to people living with diabetes”, we would be honoured to be your partner of choice in advancing diabetes care. The mylife Loop system was designed to simplify diabetes management, boosting physical and mental wellbeing as much as lifestyle freedom.
To continue this mission and facilitate the process of turning concepts into solutions, mylife Diabetes Care invites medical researchers to submit study proposals, which are received, reviewed and given feedback by a dedicated Research Steering Committee. If your study proposal is accepted, mylife Diabetes Care may provide you with Ypsomed devices and/or financial support. The following are the types of research projects the committee reviews:
Non-Clinical/Pre-Clinical Studies (animal, in vitro or in silico studies)
Clinical Trials (Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs) aim to test clinical hypotheses in human subjects)
Data analysis (analyses of existing datasets, including Real-World Evidence (RWE) and secondary data analysis, to address specific research questions)
Area of Interest
Generally, we support studies including Automated-Insulin Delivery treatment including mylife YpsoPump, Orbit infusion sets, and CamAPS FX controllers. More specifically, we encourage investigators to submit proposals targeting the following priority areas:
Insulin-dependent diabetes Type 1 and beyond (e.g. pregnancy, Type 2, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, gastroparesis)
Alleviating carbohydrate-counting burden
Adjunct therapies
New sensors (e.g ketone, lactate, etc)
However, applications outside these priority areas will still be considered.
Submit your research proposal
We invite you to submit an initial concept for review (synopsis) via the application form below. The proposal may be approved, rejected, or returned with a request for additional details. If the initial concept is approved by mylife Diabetes Care, a full study proposal (full protocol, detailed budget) will be requested. Initial concept proposals are reviewed on an on-going basis, and full proposals are reviewed quarterly. The application process is by nature competitive and due to the high volume of applications, we might not be able to support all projects. Only complete applications will be considered. If you have any questions regarding the process, or would like to speak to the investigator-initiated trials program team regarding your new or existing application, please contact us at researchrequest@mylife-diabetescare.com
