The protection of your personal information and your privacy is very important to us. As a globally operating company, we make sure that all applicable laws and their requirements are observed. Our data protection organization covers all companies of the mylife Diabetes Care Group (mylife) and ensures harmonized processes and the training of our employees and considers local requirements and laws.

Recipient of data

mylife only discloses data if required to do so by legal provisions or the contractual services or if you have consented to the disclosure. We require all these recipients to comply with the applicable data protection laws and standards. 

In the following circumstances recipients may receive personal data: 

  • Our headquarter, mylife Diabetes Care AG, which is based in Switzerland, operates the IT infrastructure.

  • We may share your personal information with or make it accessible to certain contracted service providers, including:

    • Service provider for hosting, SAAS solutions;

    • Payment service provider;

    • Logistics and printing services and telecommunications;

    • Consulting companies as well as sales and marketing service providers.

The service providers and processors we use are contractually obliged to comply with data protection standards. 

If required by law or by an authority, mylife may process and disclose your personal data without prior notice or consent. This may be due to a court order or other regulatory obligation. Where permitted by law, we will subsequently inform you of such disclosure. 

mylife does not sell any personal data to third parties. 

Data transfer to a third country

mylife only transfers data to countries outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area - EEA if the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) has confirmed that these countries have an adequate level of data protection. In these countries, the national laws guarantee a level of protection of personal data that is comparable to that of Swiss Law. If we nevertheless transfer data to other countries that are not recognized as having an adequate level of protection, we ensure the security of your data with appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses approved by the FDPIC) as well as increased technical security measures.

Provided that the legal requirements are met, you have the right to:

  • Receive information about and a copy of your data;

  • Correct and delete your data;

  • Restrict the processing of your data;

  • transfer your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format;

  • lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority at your place of residence, your workplace, or the place of the alleged infringement;

  • revoke your consent to data processing without giving reasons;

  • object if the data is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest of mylife.
