  • CamDiab and mylife Diabetes Care launch a new era in diabetes management

Today, CamDiab and mylife Diabetes Care announce the commercial launch of the CamAPS Liberty feature across key European markets, meaning myLoop, powered by CamAPS FX, becomes the first commercially available fully closed-loop system. Designed to automate insulin delivery without requiring routine bolusing for meals and snacks, this functionality will be made available to patients worldwide via an app update, providing myLoop users with this latest innovation.

This roll-out represents a pivotal milestone in diabetes care, bringing a new level of automation to insulin delivery and advancing the vision of reducing the daily burden of diabetes management and improving quality of life for people living with type 1 diabetes; where every meal and snack requires a series of calculations and vital treatment decisions. While these tasks may seem small individually, collectively they can contribute to substantial cognitive burden. CamAPS Liberty has been designed to change that.

Since May 2026, the feature has been used by almost 1200 selected myLoop users via beta testing, limited commercial launches in Italy, Spain and France and early access programmes across multiple territories. Early feedback from users has been positive. Testers reported a reduction in their mental and emotional burden associated with meal announcements . Building on the established benefits of the system, early experience with the new fully closed-loop feature suggests the potential for greater flexibility and personalisation, also supporting people in pursuing quality-of-life goals

‘‘Fully closed-loop technology has long been the goal for diabetes care, and CamAPS Liberty brings that vision into everyday life,” said Roman Hovorka, Managing Director of CamDiab. “This is about more than automation. It is about helping to reduce some of the constant decisions, calculations and concerns that people with type 1 diabetes face every day. We are proud to take this important step with mylife Diabetes Care and to begin building the real-world evidence that will support broader access to this technology.’’

says Roman Hovorka, Managing Director of CamDiab.

‘‘These launches mark a defining moment for people living with diabetes” said Sébastien Delarive, CEO of mylife Diabetes Care. “For decades, diabetes management has required constant attention, decision making and daily effort. With myLoop, we are taking major steps towards reducing that burden and helping people spend less time thinking about diabetes and more time living their lives.’’

says Sébastien Delarive, CEO of mylife Diabetes Care.

By moving more towards a truly autonomous system, CamDiab and mylife Diabetes Care are helping to redefine what is possible in diabetes management. Delivering, not only glucose management, but also headspace, confidence and a better quality of life for people living with type 1 diabetes.
