mylife Stories

EASD is one of the largest medical meetings in Europe, bringing together over 15,000 researchers from around the world. It is therefore a must for all those interested in diabetes. This year's 57th edition will once again be held virtually from September 27 to October 1, 2021. The scientific program promises a variety of top-class speeches and presentations.

Due to the coronavirus, this year's edition of EASD will also take the form of a livestream and interactive meetings. The sessions offered will be recorded and can be re-watched by registered persons until October 31.

What is EASD?

The European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) is a non-profit, medical-scientific association with the aim of advancing and promoting research in the field of diabetes. The knowledge acquired in the process is to be rapidly distributed and applied. Members are scientists, physicians, students and other health professionals from around the world who are interested in diabetes or other related diseases.

Ypsomed Company Profile

Via our company profile, which is visible to all registered persons of EASD, we introduce the company Ypsomed and present an overview of our activities: The mylife Loop program, mylife Assist and the mylife Dose planned for the end of 2021 are presented on the profile. In addition, we will act as a sponsor and host a virtual session - a workshop for medical professionals. Professor Neale Cohen and Dr. Martin de Bock will speak for just under an hour on the topic of "Taking Android APS Mainstream". Afterwards, the two speakers will join a live Q&A session and answer questions.

Science – Diabetes

The scientific program will consist of inspiring sessions, numerous oral presentations and short discussion panels. This will also include lectures and award ceremonies to recognize the achievements of renowned researchers and research talent. There will be an opportunity to submit scientific papers, which will then be open for evaluation. The papers will be evaluated strictly anonymously and the selection will be based solely on the quality of the science - regardless of the place of work. The papers accepted by the meeting are then officially published in the official journal of the association and can be viewed online at the EASD Virtual Meeting.

Attendance at EASD is a must for those interested in diabetes. More information about the conference and an overview of the exciting program is available here.
