Now with a choice of bolus calculation methods

Our goal is to offer the best possible therapy management for people with diabetes and to support healthcare professionals as much as possible. That is why we listened to you and included one of the biggest wishes in the latest mylife App update.

Every person has different needs. The mylife App now offers freedom of choice regarding the bolus calculation method. From now on, you can choose (in close consultation with your healthcare professional) between two different methods for how insulin on board is handled in bolus calculations.

mylife App
The updated mylife App offers two different methods for the bolus calculation.

The two different bolus calculation methods

What are the two different methods that users can choose from?

  • Method one: insulin on board is subtracted from the correction bolus as well as from the meal bolus. This method has been available to date in the mylife App.
  • Method two: insulin on board is subtracted only from the correction bolus and never from a meal bolus. This is the newly added method, offering a bolus to cover additional carbohydrates.

Before the update, only method one has been available in the mylife App. The selection and change from one method to the other can be made in the bolus calculator settings.

Important: please discuss the settings and/or any changes to the bolus calculator with your healthcare professional before using the bolus calculator.

Enjoy connectivity

Wireless data integration with the mylife YpsoPump insulin pump and the mylife Unio Neva blood glucose meter ensures that up-to-date therapy data are always at hand for bolus calculations. You have the option to synchronise and store your data in the mylife Cloud and share with your healthcare professional.
