Around 2500 participants from all over the world took part in this year's Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc. Among them was our colleague Alexander Pope, who took on the 171-kilometre route. The special thing about him: Alexander has type 1 diabetes (T1D) and therefore had to keep a constant eye on his glucose levels during the run. The participation in this year's conference of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in Hamburg was a complete success. From 2 to 6 October, we presented our mylife product portfolio at our well-visited booth with a focus on the automated insulin delivery system mylife Loop.

Some people proudly display their insulin pump, while others prefer to hide it. Either way, people with diabetes need to keep their medical equipment with them at all times. So the challenge often arises of where and how to carry all the diabetes paraphernalia inconspicuously when they would like to conceal it.
