Safely sharing your data with your healthcare provider for remote therapy support

Share your diabetes therapy data with your healthcare provider without the need of an on-site appointment, staying safely at home. On this page, we show you how easy it is to set up your mylife Cloud account and to get ready for sharing therapy data with your healthcare provider.

Patients: mylife Cloud registration and account setup

Open your web browser. Go to https://mylife-software.net. Click "Register" to start creating your mylife Cloud account.

Select your country of residence.

Note: you cannot change the country of residence anymore after you have finished the registration.

Fill in all your details. Be sure to choose "Patient" as your role. Then click "Register".

Accept the General Terms & Conditions by ticking the respective box.

Accept the Data Protection Regulations by ticking the respective box.

You will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. Open the email on your PC. Click the link within a maximum of 72 h to be able to proceed with your account registration.

After you have clicked the confirmation link in your email, you will be confirmed as a user. Click "Login" to proceed with the setup of your mylife Cloud account. You are diverted to the mylife Cloud login page.

Fill in your email address first, then click "Login". Next, fill in your password and click "Login" once more.

Start the setup wizard for your account. Be sure to tick "Self-management" if you are a patient. Then click "Next".

Fill in your language and time zone information. The country information is pre-filled based on your previous inputs.
Then click "Next".

Select your date and time settings. Then click "Next".

Select the measurement units you would like to use throughout the mylife Software. Then click "Finish". You will be diverted to your patient details.

Fill in the remaining details, such as gender or date of birth. Note: do not change the pre-filled email address. This is the email address you are using within the mylife Cloud.

Then click "Save".

You have successfully registered your mylife Cloud account. You are now able to use the mylife Software online and may start with importing therapy data from your devices.

Healthcare providers only: mylife Cloud data sharing invitation to patients

Steps 1 of 6

Go to your "Dashboard". From the dropdown list with your patients, select the patient that you would like to invite for data sharing. Right below the patient's name, you will find the invitation menu. Click the "Invite patient" button on the right side.

Important: in order to be able to invite a patient for data sharing, the patient's email address must be saved in their personal data section. This email address must correspond with the patient's mylife Cloud email address (user name).

In the pop-up, confirm your intention of inviting the patient for data sharing by clicking "OK".

An email with a confirmation link will be automatically sent to your patient, see next step. Finish the process by clicking "Close" in the pop-up.

After finishing the invitation process, you are taken back to the patient's dashboard. Now you need to await the patient's electronic feedback, either allowing or denying the data sharing.

This is an example of the invitation email that is sent to the patient. The patient will have to click the link and log in to his/her personal mylife Cloud account. There, in the section "Data sharing", the patient will be able to allow or deny your data sharing request.

Once the patient has accepted your data sharing invitation, your mylife Cloud clinic account and the patient's personal account are linked. Therapy data is now shared. The earlier visible invitation menu and invitation button below the patient's name have disappeared.

You are now ready to provide remote counselling based on the shared therapy data from your patient.

Patients: mylife Cloud data sharing permission to healthcare providers

This is an example of the invitation email that is sent to the patient from the healthcare provider's mylife Cloud account.

Click the link and/or directly log in to your personal mylife Cloud account.

After you have logged in, you may see your dashboard (see image) or you may land directly on the data sharing section (see next step).

Coming from the dashboard, click "Data sharing" in the menu.

You are now looking at "My data for others". The pending invitation from your healthcare provider is displayed. You have the option of giving read/write access or of rejecting the data sharing request.

Click "Read/write access" in order to start sharing your therapy data with your healthcare provider.

After you have given permission to share your therapy data, "My data for others" displays the sharing status with your healthcare provider.

Note: as a patient, you are able to stop the data sharing at any point in time by clicking "Deny access".

Patients: mylife Cloud data sharing with diasend cloud

Steps 1 of 7

Go to https://www.diasend.com and log in to diasend. Your profile's landing page will open. Click "Connect app".

Important: the following setup will allow you to have your therapy data from the mylife Cloud available in your diasend patient account. In order for your healthcare provider to have access to your therapy data in diasend, please follow diasend's respective instructions in the "Share data" menu.

Once the "Connect app" page has opened, scroll down until you see the mylife App / mylife Cloud section.

Click "Connect".

In the pop-up window, enter your mylife Cloud credentials (e-mail address and password) to connect your mylife Cloud account with your diasend account.

Click "Connect".

For pumpers: to finish the connection, make sure to make your current mylife YpsoPump the active pump in your diasend account.

To do this, select "Yes".

For pumpers: go back to "Review my data", i.e. your profile's landing page.

Click "My profile".

For pumpers: in "My profile", scroll down to the section called "Insulin pump". For serial number 6, you should now see your mylife YpsoPump mentioned (serial number is not shown). You are now able to import therapy data (blood glucose, insulin, etc.) from your mylife Cloud account into your diasend account.

Important: do not manually add your mylife YpsoPump here.

You are free to stop the data sharing from your mylife Cloud account to your diasend account at any point in time. Simply go to "Connect App" again and click "Disconnect" in the mylife App / mylife Cloud section.

Patients: mylife App PDF report sharing

Steps 1 of 5 – Apple iOS and Android:

To access the PDF report menu, tap the menu icon in the upper left corner.

In the menu, tap "PDF report" to open it.

Apple iOS:
Tap the calendar icon on the right side. In the wheel on the bottom of the screen, select the time range for which you want to create a PDF report with your therapy data and pump settings. Tap "OK" to lock your selection.

Android:
Tap the calendar icon on the right side. In the opening menu, select the time range for which you want to create a PDF report with your therapy data and pump settings. Tap it to lock your selection.

Steps 4 of 5 – Apple iOS and Android:

The selected time range is indicated by a start date and an end date. Tap "Export" in order to create your PDF report.

Steps 5 of 5 – Apple iOS and Android:

Your PDF report has been created. You will find blood glucose and insulin data, your pump and bolus calculator settings as well as a weekly overview of your therapy data.

Use your smartphone's context menu (see orange marking) to share your report with your healthcare provider via common channels, such as e-mail and WhatsApp.

Patients: mylife App connecting to your mylife Cloud from an existing app profile

Steps 1 of 6 – Apple iOS and Android:

This instruction will show you how you can log in to your mylife Cloud account from your existing profile in the mylife App. This will allow synchronisation of your therapy data between the mylife App and mylife Cloud.

Prerequisite: you must dispose of an existing mylife Cloud account. Please have your login credentials ready.

Open the mylife App menu by tapping the respective icon in the upper left corner.

Steps 2 of 6 – Apple iOS and Android:

In the menu, tap "Settings".

Tap "Personal data".

Steps 4 of 6 – Apple iOS and Android:

In the "Personal data" section, tap "Sign in".

Steps 5 of 6 – Apple iOS and Android:

Enter your mylife Cloud credentials (e-mail address and password).

You may select "Keep me logged in" if you want the app to save your password.

Tap "Login" in the upper right corner.

Steps 6 of 6 – Apple iOS and Android:

After successfully logging in, you are taken back to the "Last values" screen of the app. On the bottom of it, the mylife Cloud synchronisation status is displayed (green checkmark with date and time of your last synchronisation).
